Manchester United great Michael Carrick was caught on camera taking part in a training session which will be a sight many fans will be pleased to see.
The former is sorely missed despite the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba now being at the club and the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay being in superb form.
Carrick was one of United’s best central-midfielders in recent memory and was even compared to Paul Scholes in his latter years.
The experienced Englishman is now a part of the club’s coaching staff and is often praised by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his role in the team’s success.
Bruno himself also admitted he believes Carrick could still play for the Red Devils based on what he does in training.

In truth, Manchester United could do with a natural defensive-midfielder and it’s believed that’s exactly what Solskjaer is searching for next.
None of the aforementioned players are true naturals in that position with Nemanja Matic the only real one capable of playing that role.
However, the experienced Serbian is not as mobile as United may like and it seems he doesn’t have long left at the club too.
It will be interesting to see whether Solskjaer brings anyone in during the January transfer window or not, to be the true natural successor to Carrick.
