Manchester United star Anthony Martial was in the limelight for all the right reasons after his match-winning performance vs Everton.
The young Frenchman came off the bench to inspire his side to a victory, scoring a goal and grabbing an assist in the 2-0 win.
Martial has been heavily criticised for his early season form but the statistic below suggests he’s turned a corner.
The former AS Monaco man was United’s top goalscorer in the last campaign and fans were desperate for him to continue those types of performances.
Even with the arrival of Edinson Cavani, supporters wanted Martial to shrug off that challenge and undoubtedly prove he is the club’s first-choice striker.
6 – After going six matches without a goal or assist, Anthony Martial has scored twice and provided four assists in his last three matches for Manchester United. Acceleration. #EVEMUN

Martial has been more of a playmaker this time around but the hope is he can find himself on the scoresheet more often once he finds form.
The normally clinical striker has often been accused of being an inconsistent player and so needs to put those doubts to rest this season.
With Manchester United climbing up the table rapidly and fans getting carried away with talk about a title challenge, Martial must step up and prove his worth in such an ambition.
Nonetheless, both he and his teammates are finding form at the right time and hopefully he can put in more inspiring, match-winning performances.
