Manchester United lost their fourth semi-final under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they were beaten 2-0 by neighbours City at Old Trafford this evening. Here are our player ratings for the game:

(A score of 6 is around average.)

Dean Henderson 7 – Made one or two excellent saves, can hold his head up.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka 6 – Still getting pulled out of position way too often. Feels the need to cover centrally when playing alongside Lindelof and Maguire, leaving his flank exposed. Better when Bailly is playing.

Victor Lindelof 6 – Did not do much wrong but didn’t inspire confidence.

Harry Maguire 4 – Should have cleared the cross for the first goal into ‘Row Z’. Attacking headers very poor. Looking slower than ever and has the turning circle of a number 5 bus.

Luke Shaw 6 – Not as impressive as recent performances. Got caught up the pitch too often and did not get the crosses in that he has been. The excellent Joao Cancelo made life very difficult for him.

Scott McTominay 6 – Seemed to start well but faded toward the end of the first half. Confidence seems very fragile.

Fred 6 – Worked his socks off as always but some wayward passing and slow thinking.

Paul Pogba 6 – Not the worst player on the pitch but you hope for more from Pogba.

Bruno Fernandes 6 – It just wasn’t happening for Bruno tonight.

Marcus Rashford 5 – Very poor from Rashford. Needlessly caught offside way too often, dwelling on the ball too much.

Anthony Martial 4 – A really forgettable night from the Frenchman. Also caught offside, lucky not to be booked for diving and allowed his head to drop when United went behind.

Mason Greenwood 7 – Looked lively but should have been brought on sooner.

Donny van de Beek 6 – Given no time to achieve anything.

Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
