Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has cleared up the confusion surrounding Sergio Ramos amid rumours of a potential move to Manchester United.
The experienced Spaniard has long been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford but over the years they’ve proven to be nothing more than fabricated stories.
It typically results in Ramos landing a bumper new deal with Real Madrid, who he has been with since 2005.
The tenacious centre-back is now 34 years old and his current deal runs out this summer so it makes sense why the rumours cropped up again.
Some fans got excited by the dream of having Ramos in the famous red shirt but it seems that is as far as it goes.

It’s believed the confusion came from Di Marzio’s claim being mistranslated and quickly pushed out by multiple publications.
It’s now understood he had stated that Manchester United could potentially become one of the interested parties if Ramos becomes available.
What soon got passed around was that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co have already made contact with his agent to make a deal happen.
It’s clear to see there’s very little in these rumours if anything at all and it won’t be a surprise to see Ramos remain in Madrid next season.
