Manchester United reassess Diogo Dalot’s position at the club

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United will reportedly only consider selling Diogo Dalot under particular circumstances despite fans’ concerns.

The Portuguese full-back was signed from Porto during Jose Mourinho’s reign but seemingly can’t do enough to win over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

One of the legendary Norwegian’s first purchases was a right-back in the mould of Aaron Wan-Bissaka but many felt it was the right call in order to have quality options and to have competition in the position.

However, Solskjaer would later decide to loan Dalot to AC Milan for this season and once again, it seemed to be a decision based on allowing Brandon Williams to get more minutes.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case and the former Porto star is currently enjoying himself in Italy with the giant’s said to be keen on his signature, which the Red Devils have rebuffed so far.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils will only be more open to selling Dalot permanently in the summer instead of this January transfer window.

It seems strange to delay the sale given how Milan are interested in right now and the situation may change when the summer comes around.

Also, Manchester United would be a stronger squad with him involved so that he can truly push Wan-Bissaka to greater heights.
