Marcos Rojo signs for Boca Juniors on free transfer

by Red Billy

Marcos Rojo is no longer a Manchester United player and has signed for Boca Juniors in Argentina.

The outlet Tycsports.com posted two videos of Rojo, one entering the club’s medical facilities and another speaking afterwards at the club, in which he said he will start training today.

The deal has not yet been confirmed by either club but will be announced today at 1pm UK time.

‘Marcos Rojo has already signed and became Boca’s first reinforcement for next season, that will begin in the middle of this month,’ Tycsports said.

‘The defender … underwent a medical examination at Genea, La Boca medical center, and at the start he had his first contact with the Xeneizes fans.

‘The player underwent a series of studies as part of the usual medical check-ups that all clubs carry out prior to signing a contract.’

Rojo played 122 games for United following his 2014 move from Sporting Lisbon. The last few years have been plagued with bad injuries that limited his appearances to 12, eight and 10 in the last three seasons. He managed just 45 minutes of an Under 23’s game this season.

The Peoples Person wishes Marcos well in the future. His crazy, full-blooded defending and personality were always entertaining and he will be missed.
