Erik ten Hag shared his team’s transfer plans in his post-match interview after the friendly loss against Real Betis.

Manchester United lost their second consecutive friendly, 1-0, in what was a dull game to watch.

United missed most of their first-team players, who were out because of the FIFA World Cup.

In his post-match interview, Ten Hag spoke about United’s need for a new striker and the possibility of a January move.

“Yes, but only when we find the right player.”

“We will do everything in our power. We are doing research at every opportunity, and we will do everything we can [to sign them] if that opportunity is there.”

Ten Hag praised Anthony Martial for his all-round play.

The Frenchman has been injured for the majority of the season, and United have missed him dearly.

M,artial brings so much more than just goals. However, Ten Hag wants him to remain fit first.

His injury concerns have cast a shadow of doubt among supporters about Martial’s long-term availability.

“The first challenge for him [Martial] is to be available and fit, which he has to be responsible for.”

“But we have to support him in all the ways we can. We have seen that when he is available, he has a massive impact on our game.”

“He [Martial] has 350 minutes, four goals and two assists. That’s a really good record.”
