Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo featured for Sunderland as the Black Cats took on Blackpool yesterday.
Diallo started on the right of attack and as has become the norm with him, he produced another brilliant performance in a 1-1 draw.
Tony Mowbray’s side were held to a stalemate with their only goal coming through Shayne Lavery.
However, it was the Ivorian again who caught the eye, especially within the United fanbase, where supporters are growing excited at the prospect of the attacker returning to ply his trade at Old Trafford.
In the 90 minutes he was on the pitch, Diallo had 79 touches of the ball.
His passing was extremely on point again – Diallo successfully completed 50 out of the 55 passes he attempted in the game.
The 20-year-old made an incredible seven passes into the final third in his role as Sunderland’s creative outlet.
Diallo created two chances, one of which was registered as a big chance.
The player had four shots to his name. Diallo, as he was against Wigan Athletic, was unlucky again by hitting the woodwork with a ferocious shot that seemed goal-bound.
Diallo’s trickiness and incredible feet were on display for all to see. He completed four out of the five take-ons he tried.
Defensively, something that has been pointed out as a weakness in Diallo’s game, the United loanee was superb.
He made an incredible six recoveries and won most of his ground duels – six out of ten.

Diallo’s loan spell is rapidly shaping to be a fruitful and successful endeavour for United. His performances come the summer will merit for him being given a solid shot at establishing himself as a first-team player. It is also still possible that Erik ten Hag will recall him this month as his desperate search for attacking reinforcements continues.
