Dean Henderson: Manchester United goalkeeper likely to leave in the summer

by Raj Dholakia

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson will likely leave the club in the summer.

According to Football Insider, the 26 year old has accepted that he has no future at Man United.

Henderson is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Despite a promising start to his United career in 2021, Henderson failed to displace first-choice keeper David de Gea.

The Spaniard’s exceptional performances last season kept him firmly on the team sheet.

Erik ten Hag decided to loan out Henderson in the summer.

After joining Forest, the Englishman slammed United’s ‘criminal’ treatment of him in an exclusive interview.

“It was frustrating because I turned down so many good loans last summer, and they wouldn’t let me go.”

“So, it was frustrating. To sit there and waste 12 months, it’s criminal really at my age.”

Henderson is currently at a crucial stage in his career, where he needs to be playing consistent first-team football.

It seems like the Man United dream is far-fetched, and he would be better off leaving in the summer.

It would benefit his chances of making the England squad for upcoming international tournaments.
