Erik ten Hag believes Machester United winger Antony is made for the big occasion.
The Brazilian has been criticised for his inconsistent performance over the past few weeks.
Fans have gone on to label him as ‘one-footed’ or too predictable, referring to his tendency of always cutting in onto his favoured left foot.
In his press conference, Ten Hag went on to praise the 23 year old attacker:
“We have to win games together and that is my experience with him [Antony].”
“He’s a fighter and he likes a challenge. When he plays, the team is winning and he’s still a very young player, he can kill opponents.”
“Of course, we expect front-line players to be a threat but also have an effect in the final third.”
“He has to work on that, but he’s a young player. He’s scored in big games and if you can do it in such games, you can do it in Premier League games.”

Antony was Man United’s marquee signing in the summer, costing in the region of €100 million.
It is but obvious that there would be significant pressure on his back due to the hefty price tag.
Antony has often shown that he has the raw ability to win a game by himself.
The Brazilian needs to trust his manager, who will eventually get the best out of him.
