Marcel Sabitzer names three of Manchester United’s most crucial and important players

Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has given a glimpse into the Old Trafford dressing room dynamics and revealed the names of three of the club’s most important players.

In an interview with BILD, the Bayern Munich loanee named Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Lisandro Martinez as the biggest stars in the locker room.

Sabitzer told BILD, “The team’s will to win is enormous. The mentality is extremely winning. I’ll tell you about three players: Our world champion Lisandro Martínez would die on the pitch. For him, winning is everything, he is a defender in every sense of the word. A brutal winner and leader.”

Bruno Fernandes is very important for the dressing room, hugely responsible. Marcus Rashford is the main attacker, a world-class striker. If he’s running, you can’t defend him.”

Sabitzer also discussed life in England and revealed just how much he relishes being a United player. On Thursday, the Austrian found the back of the net twice as the Red Devils played out a 2-2 draw against Sevilla at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Peoples Person reported three days ago week that while United have no option or obligation to purchase Sabitzer, the player himself is extremely open to remaining in the Premier League. Sabitzer talked about finding his place with his new team and in his new environment.

He remarked to BILD that England is special – every tackle and special pass is celebrated with great enthusiasm. The 29-year-old pointed out that the support and atmosphere in the Premier League are simply incomparable to the Bundesliga.

Sabitzer explained that the intensity of English football and the many transitions within 90 minutes of play demands that one focuses all the time. There is simply no room to switch off as games can be decided by one moment of genius.

The United star explained how his loan move on deadline day unfolded. He said, “I didn’t have to think ten seconds after United called. I said straight away: if the time works, we’ll do it! It was a blatant day: I got the call from my advisor Roger Wittmann at 12 noon.”

“I hung up briefly, talked to my fiancee. She said: do it! Now I’m sitting here three months later and I’m totally satisfied with how it went.”

Sabitzer divulged that he has not yet held talks with new Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel. He said that this is likely to happen when the season ends.

In the same way, he confirmed he has not had contact with Julian Nagelsmann since January and even after he was sacked. Sabitzer strongly hinted that Nagelsmann, who was also his coach at RB Leipzig, should have trusted him more.

Again during his interview, Sabitzer opened the door to a possible permanent stay at United – he laid bare his admiration for the team and especially Erik ten Hag.
