Most Manchester United fans became aware of Memphis Depay during the 2014 FIFA World Cup as the Dutch youngster proved to be one of Louis van Gaal’s best performers for Holland out in Brazil.
The 21-year-old was an excellent impact substitute and earned a start with his performances from the bench and ever since then, he has been on the radar of most fans.
Those who have been watching him this season have seen something very special as Depay has scored a magnificent 18 goals in 23 games and has got three assists as well. Overall, it works out as nearly a direct involvement in a goal every game he has played in both the Eredivisie and UEFA Europa League. Bear in mind Depay only turned 21 on February 13.
A young winger with bags of pace sounds like an ideal signing for Man United given the distinct lack of pace in the squad and Man United fans unanimously agree that Depay is somebody Louis van Gaal should be looking at signing this summer.
@PeoplesPerson_ I don't think it's a question. Nailed on I'd say.

@PeoplesPerson_ If he plans to play with wingers, then yes. But fear som experiment ala. the "Robben-Role"…

@PeoplesPerson_ ABSOLUTELY! Powerful player, plays on the wing, but likes to come inside. Would be a great addition. Decent goalscorer too.

Do you think Memphis Depay is somebody Man United should be signing or should van Gaal be looking at others?
If van Gaal’s long-term intention is to adopt a 4-3-3 formation at Man United like he did previously at the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, then a player of Depay’s ilk is something he would certainly be looking to bring in.
