Adnan Januzaj nominated for prestigious European football award

by Sam Peoples

Adnan Januzaj has been nominated for the prestigious 2013 Golden Boy Award that is presented to the best young player in Europe by Italian newspaper Tuttosport,

The 18-year-old may have only handful of appearances with Manchester United’s first team squad but it hasn’t stopped him being cherry picked as one of the finest young talents in Europe.

Alongside him are the likes of Paul Pogba, Jeffrey Bruma and Juan Quintero this year but it doesn’t look like Januzaj will be collecting the award given how the votes have gone so far.

Out of just under 150,000 votes, Januzaj has amassed 1.1% of the votes whereas Bruma has 45.9% and Pogba has 11.2% so a win looks almost impossible for Januzaj but he will be proud just to have been nominated on the list after such a short space of time with the senior team.

There is nothing more exciting than watching the growth of a young boy into a man at Old Trafford and fans are eager to see Januzaj at every opportunity.
