Anderson completes move to Fiorentina and hails importance of Fergie to him

by Sam Peoples

Anderson has completed his loan move to Fiorentina and when interview by Viola TV after his first training session in Italy, he had nothing but kind words to say about his time at Manchester United.

When about about playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, Anderson was effusive in his praise and singled him out as the most important person he has met in football.

“The first training session went well, everyone has tried to put me at ease and I thank everyone for what they have done for me,” he said.“I’m from Manchester United where I’ve been and where I have many very good friends, now it was time for a change.

“Sir Alex Ferguson, he’s the one who taught me everything, the most important person I have met in football.”

In his autobiography, Ferguson didn’t really criticise Anderson and labelled him as a ‘nice boy’ which indicates that, despite the disappoint he never fulfilled his potential, Ferguson had a soft spot for the endearing Brazilian.

The 25-year-old will not be in the squad for Fiorentina’s game this weekend as he won’t have a work permit until early next week.

Hopefully now Anderson won’t have the pressures of being a United player, he can start playing better on a more consistent basis. Given that he is on loan, on the off chance he thrives out in Italy we can bring him back to Old Trafford in the summer although it is unlikely he’ll play for United again.

But for now, Anderson is a Fiorentina player. Good luck to him.
