Shinji Kagawa suffers health scare after ambulance called for him due to breathing difficulties

by Sam Peoples

Shinji Kagawa suffered a health scare on Wednesday night after his neighbours were concerned and called an ambulance to his house as he was suffering from breathing difficulties.

The 24-year-old was substituted just before the hour mark against Everton t evening but didn’t show any troublesome signs during the game.

However, it seems that Kagawa took a turn for the worse in the evening which led to the ambulance being called but thankfully the paramedic was able to solve the problem and Kagawa didn’t need to visit the hospital.

“We arrived at the scene within seven minutes to treat a person for breathing difficulties,” an ambulance spokesperson said according to the Daily Mail

A Manchester United spokesperson has confirmed that the incident did take place and insisted that the Japanese playmaker is OK.

“He had a bit of a turn but he’s OK now,” he told The Sun.

The cause of his breathing difficulties is unknown but that is a real worry for Kagawa. His fitness had improved dramatically and he looked like he was enjoying his football but his health outside football is the most important thing to maintain. He shouldn’t play against Newcastle if it compromises that.

Whether or not this means Kagawa will not be able to feature against Newcastle this weekend is also unknown but hopefully it was nothing more than a minor scare and Kagawa is in good health.
