Manchester United fans group Stretford End Flags have created a huge flag commemorating Ryan Giggs’ famous goal against Arsenal ahead of the FA Cup meeting between the two sides on Monday.
The flag, which is 4m tall and 3m wide, cost £290 to make and has been funded entirely by fan donations.
Man United have encouraged fans to bring flags to Old Trafford for the Cup tie in an attempt to enhance the atmosphere against the Gunners.
Flag-bearers will be pitchside before kick-off while a ‘surfer banner’ will also run across tier one of the Stretford End.

The flag is a brilliant tribute to Giggs’ goal, which is perhaps United’s most famous against Arsenal.
Picking up the ball inside United’s half during the semi-final replay in 1999, the Welshman drove at Arsenal’s defenders and beat Tony Adams, Lee Dixon and Martin Keown before blasting the ball past David Seaman and into the net. Removing his shirt in celebration to reveal a glorious mane of chest hair, Giggs’ goal was a pivotal moment as United went on to seal a historic treble.
