Angelo Henriquez bio

Angelo Henriquez began his football career at Unversidad de Chile aged 13 and made his professional start for the club in a Copa Chile match in 2011.

In 2012, Henriquez moved to Manchester United and made his debut against Newcastle where he scored the final goal in United’s 4-2 win.

Henriquez joined Wigan Athletic on loan for the second half of the 2012/13 season and made his English football debut in an FA Cup match. He made his Premier League debut against Sunderland and scored his first senior goal in Wigan’s 3-2 loss. His first major trophy came in 2013 as he was an unused substitute in Wigan’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

He spent the 2013/14 season on loan at Real Zaragoza and joined Dinamo Zagreb on loan for the 2014/15 season.

Henriquez has consistently represented Chile at the youth levels and made his senior debut as a substitute for an injured Alexis Sanchez. He scored Chile’s only goal that game as Chile lost 3-1 to Serbia.
