VIDEO: Zaha scores stunning brace to put Crystal Palace in the play-off final

“I can’t explain it. I’m just so glad we’re going to Wembley. It means the world to me to do this for Palace.” Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha might not have scored in 11 games but he picked the perfect moment to end his goal drought by drilling a header in to put Crystal Palace 1-0 up against Brighton before following it up with a stunning strike to seal the game.

The 20-year-old timed his run perfectly and got ahead of Wayne Bridge before sending a diving header into the roof of the net to send the travelling Palace fans wild.

And he put the game to bed just before 90 minutes with a stunning turn and hit that cannoned in off the underside of the crossbar. It was a brilliant strike. The touch, turn and finish were all world class.

Zaha found it difficult to settle into the game for the first 20 minutes but after that, he always looked dangerous when running at the Brighton defence and he was rightfully named man of the match on the night.

In the biggest game of the season so far, he lived up to and exceeded his £15 million price tag. He is now only one game away from securing promotion with Watford and what a way that would be for him to sign off his career with Palace.

Watch out Nani, Young and Valencia because Zaha is coming.
