Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes enjoyed one of his best ever seasons last year.

Fernandes was rumoured to be close to an exit last summer when Saudi Arabian clubs showed huge interest in signing the midfielder.
Nonetheless, he decided to stay at Old Trafford and enjoyed one of his most productive ever seasons.
Fernandes provided a record 21 assists in the Premier League as he helped his side to finish third in the table and crucially qualify for the Champions League this season.
Future
United have been busy adding midfielders this summer with Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemens bought from Premier League rivals.
The Portugal international remains a key figure at the club though and they have been in negotiations with the player over a new contract.
The Daily Express report that there has been a significant breakthrough in talks to keep the captain at the club.
There had been rumours that renewal talks had hit a deadlock and that Galatasaray were confident of attracting the player.
Nonetheless the paper states, “Bruno Fernandes has agreed to pledge his future to Manchester United. And the Portuguese superstar is expected to confirm he is staying at Old Trafford before the end of this month.”
With Fernandes due back into pre-season training next week after the World Cup, “talks between his representatives and United bosses about a new and improved deal have been ongoing.”
Whilst no agreement has been found, he has reportedly decided to commit himself to the club.
It is said that the arrival of Michael Carrick as manager has made a big difference to his thoughts on the future.
It is expected that a renewal could be in the region of £400,000-a-week, making him United’s highest paid player by a distance.
