Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has weighed in on suggestions that Manchester United are looking to sign Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr and San Lorenzo goalkeeper Orlando Gill.

With United eager to sign a third midfielder before moving on to strengthen other positions, it has been claimed that they are exploring moves for Sarr and Gill.
Marcus Rashford is set to be reintegrated into the squad when he returns for pre-season training but there remains a clear desire from both United and the player’s camp to part ways. Rashford’s dream is to return to Barcelona but it’s looking highly unlikely after the Blaugrana signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
Sarr has been tipped to join United, with a recent report claiming that the Red Devils have made enquiries for the forward.
The Senegal international is understood to be open to the transfer, having refused to completely shut down speculation in recent comments.
Meanwhile, another report covered by The Peoples Person alleged that United are admirers of Gill and have also made contact about a potential deal.
Gill’s stock has risen dramatically owing to his stellar performances in the World Cup with Uruguay. The 6ft 6in shot-stopper made a competition-leading 28 saves in just five matches. He famously stopped two penalties to eliminate Germany before producing another top-class performance against France in the last 16.
However, according to Romano, United are currently not exploring moves for either Gill or Sarr.

The Italian journalist said on his YouTube channel, “I saw a link coming from Paraguay – Man United negotiating for Orlando Gill, the goalkeeper who had a fantastic World Cup. But that story is not true.”
“Manchester United have signed Karl Darlow from Leeds and they have a first goalkeeper in Senne Lammens. Darlow will be the backup and Tom Heaton is the third goalkeeper.”
“Meanwhile, Altay Bayindir is still there. They are looking for a solution for Bayindir, but Man United have already decided to let him go. So for the goalkeeper, no movements.”
“Ismaila Sarr: many links to him also in the last 24 to 48 hours but at the moment for Sarr, it’s the same as Crysencio Summerville. For Summerville, many people said advanced talks, concrete talks, negotiations ongoing with Man United. But the reality is that Manchester United, while they have Marcus Rashford in that position, are not advancing for any winger.”
“So at the moment Manchester United are not proceeding for Ismaila Sarr. Many links but at the moment still nothing concrete.”
All eyes are now on United as speculation mounts over which players they will pursue next.
