Manchester United have shared an exciting update on their proposed new 100,000-seater stadium, confirming where it will be located.

Earlier on Thursday, United revealed that the new state-of-the-art arena will sit approximately 350 metres north-west of the existing Old Trafford stadium.
A final decision has yet to be made on what the future of the current ground will be.
United have unveiled their vision for the Trafford Wharfside regeneration, transforming the area around Old Trafford into a major sports and entertainment destination, complete with thousands of new homes. Better public transport connections, as well as new walking and cycling routes, will also form part of the plans.

United say that this project will also create 48,000 local jobs and inject an estimated ÂŁ7.3bn-per-annum boost to the UK economy.
The proposal now awaits a decision from Trafford Council on July 20. If approved, the project will enter an eight-week public consultation phase from July 28 to September 22, with local events giving people the chance to examine the masterplan and have their say.
