Leny Yoro 7 – A defensively resolute performance at right-back. Came close to grabbing United’s second goal with a good header but was denied by the crossbar.

Harry Maguire 6 – An accomplished and experienced performance at the heart of United’s defence.
Ayden Heaven 6 – Same as Maguire. The pair formed a solid partnership, keeping Rosenborg from troubling Vitek.
Luke Shaw 6 – Did his job with minimum fuss. Betwee
Andrey Santos 7 – Caught the eye with another brilliant display in the middle of the park. Covered lots of ground and didn’t shy away from getting stuck in as part of his job to shield the defence. Instinctively almost always looked for the forward pass.
Mason Mount 6.5 – He looked sharp, with crisp passing and a cleanly executed interception to neutralise a dangerous Rosenborg counter-attack.
Shea Lacey 8 – Excellent curling finish to give United the lead.

Bryan Mbeumo 6 – A sight of goal early on when he was put through on goal by Zirkzee, but he couldn’t beat the goalkeeper. Excellent cross for Yoro, which should have resulted in a goal. A few sloppy touches and passes that he will be keen to cut out in the upcoming games.

Patrick Dorgu 5.5 – Showcased some neat touches and positive contributions in the final third, coming close to scoring only to see his effort strike the post.
Joshua Zirkzee 9 – An impressive all-round display. He teed up Mbeumo and arguably should have been credited with an assist. Held up the ball sublimely and brought those around him into play. Showed some fine bits of skill to rip the Rosenborg defence apart and double the lead for United.

Jaydan Kamason 8 – Delivered a sensational low-driven cross for Amass’ goal. Some lovely work down his flank again to assist Williams’ goal. Two assists!
Dan Armer 6 – Picked up where Maguire and Heaven left off, ensuring United secured the clean sheet in Trondheim.
Jacob Devaney 8 – Showed great instincts to react when the ball fell to him and to bury it, making it 3-0 and putting the game to bed.

Tyler Fletcher 5 – OK.
Dan Gore 6 – Clean and tidy on the ball. Never looked at all fazed by the opposition.
Jack Fletcher 5 – Decent.
Toby Collyer 6 – Buzzing in midfield, winning the ball back and keeping possession ticking.
Chido Obi 5 – Succeeded in occupying the opposition’s backline, though he was given precious little to attack.
Ethan Williams 8 – Another good finish to make it 5-0 for United.
