Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Eva Olid as the new head coach of Manchester United Women.

Earlier this week, United released a statement confirming Marc Skinner had departed his role at the helm of the women’s team.
Appointed in 2021 to succeed Casey Stoney, Skinner went on to make history at United. He delivered the club’s first major trophy, the FA Cup, in 2024, and followed that by steering them to their inaugural Champions League campaign last season.
United stated that Skinner’s exit was a mutual agreement. A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the Red Devils were close to bringing in Olid and now, the deal has officially gotten over the line.
Olid has put pen to paper on a contract until June 2028, with the option to extend for a further year.

Olid led Hearts from the second tier of Scottish football to a historic first Premier League title. Her exploits earned her the SWPL’s best manager of the season and PFA Scotland SWPL Manager of the Year awards.
