Manchester United Women have been looking to improve their wing depth this summer.
Summer signings
The Red Devils have already bolstered their defence with the signing of Spanish left-back Andrea Medina.
Janina Leitzig has also been signed up to provide depth in the goalkeeping department behind Phallon Tullis-Joyce. They have also replaced their previous manager, Marc Skinner, with Eva Olid, who will be hoping to bring in her own players before the end of the window.
One position United need to improve is their wing department, and according to a report from The Athletic, they are closing in on a key target.
Monica Jusu Bah
The American outlet reports that, “Manchester United have made an offer to Swedish club Hacken for winger Monica Jusu Bah.”
She won the Swedish league with Hacken and has been capped twice by Sweden.
The 23-year-old has scored 25 goals in 95 appearances for her current side.
The report also adds that, “the left winger is contracted at Hacken through to December 2028, having signed a three-and-a-half-year extension in September 2025.”
The departure of attacking players like Melvine Malard and Leah Galton has only sharpened the need for wide reinforcements.
What would she bring?
Bah has been described as a player who is a “super-fast, direct attacker who thrives in transition and high-intensity counter-attacking systems”.
The Swede is also capable of playing as a striker and can bring high-quality pressing to the front line, something Olid will very much appreciate for her system.
Were Bah to sign, she would become yet another Swedish player at the club, joining Fridolina Rolfo, Julia Zigiotti, Hanna Lundkvist and Ellen Wangerheim.
