Manchester United could be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market before September 1’s deadline, at least according to reports in Spain.
On Tuesday, United announced the arrival of Carlos Baleba from Brighton, making the Cameroonian their third midfield signing after Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
Many expect United to be in the market for only a left-back during the final days of the window, but a bombshell update from La Cadena SER suggests otherwise.
Manchester United willing to bid for Eduardo Camavinga
Speaking on Cadena SER show El Larguero, journalist Pacojo claimed that Manchester United are preparing to present a €50 million (£42.7m) offer to Real Madrid for French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

In July, Fabrizio Romano reported United’s interest in Camavinga as a third midfield signing. However, that space has now been filled by Carlos Baleba.
It is difficult to see United making a move for a fourth midfielder, given there are still other areas to address in Michael Carrick’s squad.
Interestingly, Camavinga has shown he is capable of playing as a left-back at an elite level.
Whether the technically-gifted 23-year-old holding midfielder would be open to joining the Red Devils as a primary full-back remains unclear.

Manchester United continue to be linked with Alejandro Balde
Furthermore, the same journalist says United are also prepared to make a move for Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde.
For the services of the Spaniard with explosive pace, the Premier League giants are reportedly willing to test Barcelona’s resolve with a €30m (£25.6m) bid.
Balde’s profile is more aligned with United’s transfer plans than Camavinga. As such, it is advised to take the claim with a pinch of salt.
At the same time, INEOS have shown this summer that they are capable of raising a few eyebrows with moves that nobody saw coming.
