Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly joined the race to sign Manchester United defender Harry Amass.
Late move
Amass is looking increasingly likely to leave United before the summer window slams shut on Tuesday.
The urgency for United to strengthen at left-back was underscored by Luke Shaw’s unconvincing display against Ipswich on Sunday, despite the team’s emphatic 5-2 victory. Yet, United remain open to letting Amass leave.
A loan exit has been mooted but there have also been suggestions that a permanent departure is firmly on the cards.
It’s been claimed that United are prepared to accept as little as ÂŁ6m to let the Carrington academy graduate leave. Amass is believed to be eager for regular first-team minutes, which is far from guaranteed at Old Trafford.
A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Burnley are in talks over a late swoop for Amass.
According to journalist Peter O’Rourke, the Clarets are exploring both a temporary and a permanent arrangement for the player.
O’Rourke has now issued an update, revealing that Wolves have stormed into the race for the 19-year-old.

The race for Amass appears wide open, with the outcome likely to be decided by which club tables the most attractive proposal to United.
The deciding factor for United is expected to be playing time, with the club leaning towards whichever suitor can offer Amass the most consistent game time.
Michael Carrick and his players are next in action on Sunday when they go away to Everton.
