Manchester United conceded two goals for the third consecutive match, as they played out a 2-2 draw against Everton away at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead on both occasions, only to be pegged back due to the team’s weak mentality of trying to sit back and defend.
Michael Carrick‘s substitutions did not help either, with the backline’s performance drawing flak from all quarters.
It seemed like Benjamin Sesko, who came on as a substitute for the ineffective Matheus Cunha, had secured all three points for the Red Devils for the second season running.

Great work down the flank by Luke Shaw led to his cross being met expertly by the Slovenian as United took the lead in the 88th minute.
They failed to hold on in the end, as Ainsley Maitland-Niles scored the equaliser with practically the last kick of the game.
Sesko was asked after the game by MUTV about the result, to which he replied, “Very disappointed, of course, because we were very close, yet so far.
“When you concede goals like this, especially in the last minute, you know, it just happens the way it did. It’s painful for everyone because everyone was giving everything, trying to win the game.

“Really, every single person here wants that. Then, in moments like this, when you concede that last kind of shot, it’s just very, very painful.”
After a lengthy period on the sidelines, the former RB Leipzig ace is slowly being eased back into the action by the head coach.
He made his mark against the Toffees, and now, Carrick must trust the 23-year-old to start games.
“For me, it’s the best feeling when I’m scoring, especially for the club like that. When I can provide the goals and the points for the team – it’s my job at the end of the day.

“It’s nice to be back with the team to experience all the games again. Of course I wish today that we had won, but we can’t change that.
“It’s really important to take everything as positive even when it’s not the best option from today. To see the game in a good light, to try and improve and focus for the next game.”
The midweek Champions League game against Sabah is the perfect opportunity to hand the striker his first start of the season. Hopefully, Sesko can make it count.
