Manchester United are reportedly set to secure the services of Liverpool prodigy Isaac Konde.
Konde interest
Since he assumed operational control of United in February 2024, INEOS chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe has emphasised a policy of signing relatively unknown gems who can be nurtured to potentially become world-class players.
Over the past few windows, United have successfully wrapped up deals for youngsters like Sekou Kone, Patrick Dorgu, Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi, Leny Yoro, Harley Emsden-James and Tynan Thompson, just to mention a few names.
This summer, United appear to be ramping up efforts to land the best talents English football has to offer.
A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the Red Devils have successfully lured Karim Cassim to the club from Manchester City.
United are also said to have completed a deal to sign David Eze, also from City.
Last month, it was indicated that United were eyeing Konde from bitter rivals Liverpool. The 16-year-old is a highly regarded winger who possesses electric pace and dazzling dribbling skills.
He predominantly plies his trade on the left but can also play on the opposite flank and up front if required. He is a regular with Liverpool’s Under-18s and now, United insider Sully reveals that the teenager is poised to swap Anfield for Old Trafford.
Konde update
Sully claims, “Roundtable understands that Manchester United have won the race to sign three young players from Liverpool and Manchester City.”
“Isaac Konde from Liverpool, David Eze and Karim Cassim from Manchester City are all set to become Manchester United players. ”
It’s understood that Konde, Eze and Cassim will all initially link up with Darren Fletcher’s Under-18s. They will look to replace JJ Gabriel, who is increasingly likely to be promoted to the first team this season.
Gabriel trained with the senior squad this week ahead of Friday’s pre-season clash against Rosenborg.
