Manchester United are currently in the process of finalising several loan moves for their players.
Loan moves
Andre Onana joined Trabzonspor and Sekou Kone joined Lausanne-Sport earlier in the window.
Yesterday, Ethan Wheatley secured a loan move to Lincoln City, while Altay Bayindir has gone to Celta Vigo.
A couple of days ago, highly-rated Jacob Devaney joined Hibernian in Scotland after a successful spell at St Mirren last season.
The Irish midfielder has conducted an interview with the club, highlighting his ambitions.
Speaking to Hibs TV, he claimed, “I’ve been lucky enough to captain a lot of the sides that I’ve played for, for United, all the way from under-9s up to the 21s. It’s something that I like to take in my stride.”
He added, “I see myself as a bit of a leader so I’d like to think I can bring that side of my game to Hibs as well.”
Devaney also claimed that he was delighted to prepare for the new season at Carrington with some of the best players in the world. Commenting on his summer with United, he explained, “obviously, I was lucky enough to play two games and get a goal as well. I was really pleased with how that went.”
Why Hibs?
Devaney then explained what it was about Hibernian that convinced him to make the move.
He asserted, “I remember playing at Easter Road last year. I found it tough playing against such a technical footballing team and I think I see myself fitting right into this team. I can dominate the ball and hopefully get us playing.”
Devaney also continued, “because I knew I could do the technical side and I was a good tactical player to coach.”
The young midfielder also added that he is not just a technical player but can also compete at the physical level too.
Explaining his ambitions whilst at the club, he stated, “coming here to the stadium, Easter Road, I was shocked at the size of the club when I first came here. “Thinking back to playing here last year played a big part in me coming here and, obviously, the European competition as well. Hopefully on Thursday night we can qualify for that. But yeah, I’m here to do well, be successful and push for titles.”
Finally, Devaney added that it has always been a dream to represent his nation and he hopes he can use his time at the Scottish club as a platform.
