WWE wrestler Danhausen has set a price of £10 million to “uncurse” Manchester United following a request for him to use his supposed powers to help the club.
Danhausen refused to perform the service for free, instead asking for the money to be delivered in a “money sack” before he would do the required “bidding”.
United’s long title wait framed the request
The unusual proposal emerged during an interview with BANG Showbiz’s Alistair McGeorge, who asked whether Danhausen would turn his attention to United.
McGeorge introduced the question by describing the Red Devils’ recent history as “dreary times” and noting that the club had gone 13 years without winning the Premier League title.
There was already a sporting theme behind the request. Danhausen had previously incorporated the New York Knicks into his curse-based act during the NBA Playoffs.
He initially placed a supposed curse on the Knicks before reversing course. The publication credited that storyline with preceding a remarkable play-off run for Jalen Brunson’s team.
£10 million in a classic money sack
Wrestling On FanNation reported that Danhausen was willing to consider the request, albeit only after receiving his sizeable fee.
Asked to help United, Danhausen said: “Oh, trying to get a freebie out of Danhausen? Well, how about you send Danhausen some British pounds?”
He continued: “So Danhausen’s going to need about 10 [million] of those British coins you have – pounds, if you will – and mail them over in a money sack, classic style, and Danhausen will do the bidding.”
Danhausen’s curse-based WWE persona
Danhausen is a member of the WWE roster whose act prominently features supposed curses placed on fellow wrestlers and sports teams.
His profile has also extended into WWE’s gaming output, with the wrestler recently added to WWE 2K26.
The Knicks connection became particularly prominent during the NBA Playoffs. Danhausen featured on official team merchandise after the crossover gained attention.
That unofficial partnership was later incorporated into WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden in July.
During the show, Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns emerged from Danhausen’s cloning machine before chokeslamming Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh of the Judgment Day.
Brunson also appeared at the end of the event alongside Roman Reigns, receiving a custom WWE Championship as part of the closing scene.
For now, Danhausen has simply named his price in the interview, leaving United supporters with one of the more colourful proposed solutions to the club’s long wait for another league crown.
