Michael Carrick has come under fire following Manchester United’s disastrous start to the season.
United have won just one Premier League match this campaign and currently sit 12th in the Premier League table.
For now, INEOS continue to back Carrick and want him to remain at the helm. However, fans on social media have lost their patience and are demanding that the Glazers and Sir Jim Ratcliffe leave their club.
Manchester United supporters launch online campaign
Manchester United fans have launched an online campaign, mainly targeting the club’s sponsors.
Many social media accounts that cover United and have large followings have announced that they will be using the hashtag #BoycottUnited to urge fellow fans to leave negative reviews for the companies who have partnered with United.
They also want supporters to email these companies and leave comments on their social media posts.
Snapdragon and MUTV among targets
Qualcomm Technologies pay United around $75 million a year to promote their brand Snapdragon through their front-of-shirt deal.
The club’s biggest commercial partner has also borne the brunt of fan frustration, with many social media accounts filling Snapdragon’s posts on X with comments about the club’s ownership.

Snapdragon have even hidden negative replies from fans under their posts, giving some even more encouragement that their voices are grabbing attention, one way or another.
Sully, who is a reliable source for all things United, is one of the prominent social media figures to have set the tone for the online movement.
In one of his recent posts, he urged fans to cancel their MUTV subscriptions and stop buying any United products, including shirts, training jerseys, and cosmetics.
What the Glazers and INEOS think about the recent campaign remains unclear at the moment.
