Manchester United stars Millie Turner and Lisa Naalsund have shared an exciting personal update.
Key pair
Turner and Naalsund have been key players for United over the past few years, helping the club through some very big milestones, including winning the FA Cup and playing in the Champions League.
Turner came through United’s youth set-up before moving to Everton and then Bristol City, before she made a sensational return to Leigh Sports Village for the club’s inaugural professional WSL season.
A reliable, no-nonsense defender, she has been a mainstay in the side. Over the past few seasons, Turner has especially struck a formidable defensive partnership with captain Maya Le Tissier.
The 29-year-old overcame a serious knee injury and arterial tear in 2022. She extended her contract with the club until 2028, meaning she is here to stay.
Naalsund, who joined United in 2023, has battled fitness problems during her time at the club. Yet whenever Marc Skinner has called on her, she has proven a dependable presence in midfield.
In the 2025/26 campaign, the Norwegian made nine starts and seven substitute appearances in the league, scoring three goals. This includes a brace in a victory over Liverpool.
The duo have now confirmed that they are engaged, in hugely exciting personal news.
Special announcement
Turner and Naalsund have confirmed that they are engaged to be married with a series of stunning photos on Instagram.
The two are on safari at Kruger National Park in South Africa.
Reacting to the news, United say in a statement, “We could not be happier for them!”
