Manchester United were involved in another day of fascinating action at the Super Cup NI in Northern Ireland.
Successful Tuesday
It was a successful day on Tuesday as all three of United’s teams ran out winners in their matches.
Wednesday brought an end to the group matches, with United competing for the top spot in all of their groups.
Wednesday results
The Manchester United Women’s team started the day off in absolutely stunning fashion.
The under-16s side smashed Desert Empire 8-1 in a ruthless attacking display.
This massive victory ensured that United finished ahead of the rest in their group, and now have a final to look forward to later this week.
They pillaged 13 goals in just three games and conceded only two, demonstrating an attacking and defensive masterclass.

The Girls’ junior section also did the club proud by reaching a second final for the club.
They comfortably dispatched East Belfast side Glentoran 3-0 to top their group.
A final against Irish side Shamrock Rovers awaits the girls, and they will be full of confidence heading into the tie.
Boys disappointment
The under-16s boys’ side missed out on the chance to make it three major finals as they drew 1-1 with County Antrim.
The Causeway Chronicle reports, “Co Antrim’s dream of adding a Budget Energy SuperCupNI Boys’ Premier title to their three Boys’ Junior crowns remains alive after earning the point they needed against Manchester United to book a place in the semi-finals.”
Ben Lyne headed in United’s opener, but the local side hit back almost immediately to bring the match level.
After finishing second on goal difference, United will now head into the Globe semi-final, which “will be an all-English affair” as they take on Sunderland.
