Tyler Fredricson has completed a permanent move from Manchester United to FC Lausanne-Sport.

Lausanne-Sport have issued a statement which reads, “FC Lausanne-Sport is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the permanent transfer of English central defender Tyler Fredricson.”
“The player has signed with the club until June 30, 2029.”
“At just 21 years old, he joins FC Lausanne-Sport with rare experience for a player of his age, acquired within one of the most prestigious clubs in the world and enriched by two starts in the Premier League.”
“FC Lausanne-Sport is delighted to be able to support Tyler Fredricson in the next stage of his career and welcomes him to Lausanne and wishes him every success in the blue and white colours.”
Fredricson follows midfield prodigy Sekou Kone, who sealed a loan return back to Lausanne-Sport, having spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign there.
Steven Railston of the Manchester Evening News notes that United have inserted a “high percentage” sell-on clause into the deal to sell Fredricson to Lausanne-Sport.
The Red Devils also retain a buy-back clause.

United spell
Fredricson endured a gradual rise at United since joining the club’s famous academy.
He was part of the 2021/22 Under-18s side that won the FA Youth Cup final in front of a packed Old Trafford crowd, lining up alongside the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
Fredricson earned his promotion to the Under-21s, captained the side often, and trained regularly with the first-team squad.
The Englishman made his senior debut in April 2025 and produced a calm, composed showing, though it came in a narrow defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Last term, a mixture of stiff competition for places and injuries limited Fredricson’s involvement.
