Manchester United head into their final pre-season friendly against Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan today unbeaten since the opener against Wrexham.
Matthijs de Ligt is back in light training but is not ready to take part. Benjamin Sesko is still unavailable but there is hope he will be on the bench for United’s Premier League opener against Hull next Saturday lunchtime.
Mason Mount did not travel having picked up an injury against Paris Saint-Germain and missed the Leeds United game in midweek. Head coach Michael Carrick’s comment that his substitution was precautionary appears to have been wishful thinking as the unfortunate former Chelsea man looks to face another period on the sidelines.
Here is Carrick’s confirmed starting XI for today’s game.
Defence
Senne Lammens is in goal.
Nous Mazraoui plays at right-back in place of Diogo Dalot. Harry Maguire returns at centre-back alongside Ayden Heaven, with Leny Yoro making way.
Luke Shaw returns at left-back, with Harry Amass dropping to the bench.
Midfield and Attack
Andrey Santos starts alongside Youri Tielemans in central midfield, with Tyler Fletcher making way. Bruno Fernandes comes in for Josh Zirkzee and Patrick Dorgu keeps his place on the left.
Amad is again on the right wing, while Matheus Cunha replaces Bryan Mbeumo up front.
Substitutes
The substitute goalkeepers are Dermot Mee and Fred Heath. Karl Darlow is still not available following his move from Leeds.
The remaining bench players are: Leny Yoro, Harry Amass, Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Jack Fletcher, Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, Tyler Fletcher, JJ Gabriel, Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, Bryan Mbeumo and Shea Lacey.
