Manchester United Women had a rollercoaster of a season last year.

Last year

On the plus side, they played valiantly in the Champions League, narrowly losing in the quarter-final to Bayern Munich.

What’s more, they also made their first ever League Cup final but lost to Chelsea.

On the negative side, they failed to qualify for this year’s Champions League after finishing fourth in the league and fell off badly in the second half of the season.

Last summer’s signings also proved to be effective, with Swedish duo Fridolina Rolfo and Julia Zigiotti impressing.

Nonetheless, the bigger star was Jess Park, who joined the club on deadline day from neighbours Manchester City.

The club’s official website has reported that, “Jess Park has capped off her impressive first season in the red of United Women by being named in the 2026 PFA WSL Team of the Year.”

The England international’s terrific campaign had already been recognised by her club as she was awarded the Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.

Her six goals and five assists in the league also saw her recognised by the league as a whole, as she was named in the dream XI voted by her fellow professionals.

Park is one of just a few United players to ever be named in the prestigious eleven.

Spaniard Ona Batlle was named in 2022, while Mary Earps and Maya Le Tissier made the team in 2023.

2024 was an even more successful year, as Le Tissier was named again alongside Jayde Riviere and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.

Park will kick off the season on Friday, 4th September, when United travel to face London City Lionesses.
