Manchester United have confirmed that wonderkid Noah Ajayi has put pen to paper on fresh terms to extend his stay at the club.

On Friday, United released a statement which reads, “Exciting youngster Noah Ajayi has committed his future to Manchester United.”
“The 17-year-old winger has signed a long-term professional contract.”
“Ajayi was a stand-out for Darren Fletcher’s Under-18s side last season, making important contributions to help the young Reds reach the FA Youth Cup final. The youngster has also featured for United’s Under-21s.”
“Born in Hamburg, the forward has earned caps at youth level for Germany.”

Sky is the limit
Although much of the attention in recent years has centred on JJ Gabriel, Ajayi is another standout talent, reflected in the contract United have given him to secure his future.
Standing 6ft 2in tall, the forward displays notable physicality and pace relative to his youth.
In April 2025, Ajayi, then 16, made his Under-21s debut against Reading. Less than 24 hours later, he came off the bench again for the Under-18s in their meeting vs. Nottingham Forest.
Ajayi is understood to have been on the radar of several European clubs, potentially explaining United’s promptness in tying him down.
Born in Hamburg and holding German citizenship, the teenager was a sitting target for Bundesliga clubs, who could snap him up for nominal compensation.
Ajayi is eligible to represent Germany, while he also qualifies for Nigeria through his father. His move to England at the age of 10 additionally renders him eligible for the Three Lions.
