Following Carlos Baleba’s capture, Manchester United have finally concluded their much-hyped midfield overhaul this summer.
The Red Devils struggled against Hull City without the Cameroonian, who is unlikely to return before the September international break.
What the Red Devils need next is a left-back, but INEOS are in no position to match Barcelona’s asking price for Alejandro Balde.
The co-owners are focused on player sales at the moment, with multiple academy graduates expected to depart before the transfer window closes.
Toby Collyer set to leave
One of them is Toby Collyer. Now that the Cameroonian is here, the 22-year-old‘s chances of earning minutes have dropped dramatically.
The 20-time English league champions would prefer a permanent exit, and two sides are competing for the England Under-20 international’s signature.

Championship side West Bromwich Albion’s interest has already been relayed by The Peoples Person, and now, the Tigers have joined them in the race.
Incidentally, the United midfield wonderkid spent the second half of last season at the MKM Stadium, and despite a strong start, his temporary stint proved to be a disappointment due to injury troubles.
Premier League interest in Toby Collyer
The newly promoted side remain admirers and feel Toby Collyer has what it takes to become a key cog in manager Sergej Jakirović’s plans.
Journalist Ben Jacobs wrote on X (formerly Twitter),” Hull City have joined the race to sign Toby Collyer from Manchester United.

INEOS have shown they can be quite ruthless when it comes to academy player sales. United are expected to add a buyback and sell-on clause in order to make the sale even more profitable.
What the final fee will be remains to be seen.
