Manchester United Women have undergone some significant changes during the summer.
Squad departures
The club have failed to strengthen so far, with only Spaniard Andrea Medina signing for the club so far.
There have been some veteran departures, such as Leah Galton and Hannah Blundell leaving.
What’s more, Chelsea have had a bid accepted for star striker Melvine Malard.
It was also reported yesterday that Birmingham City have sealed a deal for veteran centre-back Millie Turner.
Lisa Naalsund exit
Naalsund is the latest player to leave the club as United’s squad reshaping continues.
The club’s official website announced that, “Lisa Naalsund has agreed a permanent transfer from Manchester United Women to Birmingham City.”
She joined United in January 2023 and made 74 appearances, scoring eight goals.
Once a Red, always a Red ❤️

One of her biggest contributions came in the FA Cup final win over Tottenham Hotspur in 2024, when she registered two assists in the match.
Naalsund also scored a brace last season in a 3-1 victory over rivals Liverpool in the Women’s Super League fixture.
Lucky
Commenting on her departure on Instagram, she said, “I’ve been lucky to share the pitch with so many incredible players who pushed me to improve and become better every day. I’ve played in big stadiums, in finals and in the Champions League, and in front of more people than I could ever have dreamt of.”
She also took time to thank the fans who supported her and the team home and away.
Finally, she signed off, “Manchester United will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the memories, the friendships, the lessons, and the moments that will stay with me forever.”
