Manchester United suffered a 2-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Here are our player ratings from the game.

(A score of 6 is around average)

Senne Lammens 4 – He got away with a spill in the first half and rode his luck through other shaky moments. Comprehensively beaten for Chelsea’s goals.

Leny Yoro 5 – Decent

Harry Maguire 4 – Utterly hopeless for Chelsea’s opener as he was part of a collective that simply watched Morgan Rogers dance through and finish without intervening.

Lisandro Martinez 1 – Shocking right from the start. He was skipped past with ease early on, just as he was against Bournemouth last weekend. He struggled defensively and was hauled to the ground by Rogers at one point. To cap a dreadful performance, he was dismissed for a wholly reckless elbow on Wesley Fofana, which saw Chelsea awarded a penalty and him sent off.

Diogo Dalot 3 – He offered very little in either a defensive or an attacking sense. Couldn’t handle Estevao. Constant dead weight for United.

Carlos Baleba 4 – His work on the ball left much to be desired.

Andrey Santos 6 – Slightly better than he has been in the past few games. Improved on the ball and got stuck in before Chelsea eventually took control.

Bruno Fernandes 4 – Hard-working, especially in the first half, but not good overall: he missed an early chance to give United the lead and repeatedly gave the ball away in dangerous areas, one of which led to an Estevao goal that was ruled out.

Amad 6 – One of his stronger displays for United in some time. He was dangerous and ought to have had a goal to his name.

Matheus Cunha 5 – His celebrations were cut short when his goal was ruled out for offside. He impressed in the first half but waned considerably after the break.

Bryan Mbeumo 5 -Similar to Cunha, he showed promise during the first half but waned thereafter.

Substitutes

Kobbie Mainoo 5 – Just OK on his return from injury.

Mason Mount 4 – Waste of a substitution. No impact whatsoever.

Ayden Heaven 5 – OK.

Joshua Zirkzee 5 – Had a shot at goal, which was saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders.
