Manchester United Women faced Newcastle United in their latest pre-season match.
The Red Devils took on the Magpies in Spain before jetting back to the United Kingdom later today.
First half
United had the first chance when Elisabeth Terland’s header was tipped over the bar after a cross from Anna Sandberg.
Lea Schuller started up front with Terland, and she slid in the Norwegian, but the striker could not beat the keeper.
Terland was heavily involved and struck a post after being set up by youngster Mared Griffiths.
Shortly after, it was Jess Park causing damage as she jinked past a few players and set up a cross for Hinata Miyazawa, whose powerful effort was deflected behind by the keeper.
Schuller will have a key role this season to score goals lost from the departure of Melvine Malard, but she missed her chance just before half-time.

Second half
Phallon Tullis-Joyce came on as one of six substitutes and was immediately called into action to deny the second division side.
Jayde Riviere was the next United player to try her luck, but she was denied. Ellen Wangerheim also had an effort well stopped by the goalkeeper.
United finished the game with a very inexperienced side, with just four players over the age of 22. Nevertheless, Layla Drury almost gave the Reds a late winner, but she fired just over the bar.
Kathleen McGovern took advantage of United’s lack of experience and fired the Geordies into a late lead after doing little in an attacking sense the entire half.
Maya Le Tissier almost grabbed a late leveller, but her long-range strike was turned around the post.
Eva Olid’s side will fly back to Manchester today, and they will take on rivals Liverpool on Sunday for their next pre-season match-up.
