Manchester United fans have seen another transfer window shut as the deadline passed last night at 23:00 BST.
The Red Devils will not be able to add to their squad until January and Michael Carrick will be charged with getting this side competitive in the league and Champions League.
United have had a busy window of ins and outs, but perhaps fans will be left with the feeling that there should have been more.
No new left back or striker was brought in on deadline day, and United once again failed to offload players such as Dutchman Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford and Manuel Ugarte.
Ins
United focused mainly on a midfield rebuild, and that is what they got.
The Red Devils had done a deal for Cristian Orozco last year, but the Colombian signed his deal in the summer to join the club.
Andrey Santos was brought in from Chelsea for £48 million plus £2 million, and Youri Tielemans for £35 million in the space of a few days in July.
Goalkeeper Karl Darlow was also added as back-up. There were a couple of youth signings, such as Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur and youth keeper Kit Margetson from Swansea City.
The only deal done in August was finally pulling the trigger on a move for Carlos Baleba for £65 million plus £5 million.
Outs
While United failed to sell first-team players for a plethora of reasons, they did manage to get rid of numerous unwanted academy options.
Rasmus Hojlund left the club on a permanent basis after SSC Napoli triggered his buy obligation for £38 million.
Casemiro and Jadon Sancho both left the club as free agents, with contrasting feelings from the supporters of the club.
Academy products Tyler Fredricson, Radek Vitek, Ethan Ennis, Ethan Williams, James Scanlon, Habeeb Ogunneye, Toby Collyer, Louis Jackson, Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey, Malachi Sharpe, James Overy and Louie Bradbury all left the club on permanent deals.
Loans
United also loaned out senior options Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.
There were also numerous loan moves, as Sekou Kone, Elyh Harrison, Soloman Honor, Jaocb Devaney, Jayce Fitzgerald, Ethan Wheatley, Dan Gore, and Jack Moorhouse all secured loan deals. Chido Obi is also expected to seal a loan move to the Netherlands, with their window staying open until tonight.
